About the project

A familiar idea.
A considered approach.

YAV Player is a desktop media player project by Yavinesh Rajagopal, built around a simple goal: make time with your own media feel straightforward.

The intent

Let the media lead.

Start with clear playback controls. Keep deeper audio, subtitle, queue, and preference choices available when you need them.

The project brings video, music, and spoken audio into one desktop application using libmpv as its playback engine.

The foundation

Built in the open.

The application uses C++20, Qt 6 Quick, and libmpv. The current project license and component notices are part of its source and packaging work.

Windows is the current development focus. Cross-platform verification and release delivery remain in progress.
